This project explores the idea of progress, and insufficient progress, in relation to social issues, with a particular focus on gender inequality. This project, which consists of a video, aims to challenge traditional gender roles, gender norms and gender stereotypes from past eras, by referencing television cooking demonstration videos from past time periods, while also referencing gender inequality in a contemporary context, by also reflecting the idea of modern online tutorial videos. Therefore, I created this parody of a tutorial video, which, initially, appears to demonstrate to viewers how to make a cup of tea.
